Classes Offered
Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Obedience Training
Beginning Obedience is an 8 week, 1 hour session designed to introduce you and your dog to Obedience. Lessons
include: Heel on a loose lead, Automatic Sits, Stays, Come When Called, Down. After completion of Beginners
Obedience a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) training and testing can be taken. CGC is the certificate offered from AKC to all
dogs, all breeds and all mixed breeds that complete a series of 10 exercises demonstrating they have learned to be
good canine citizens.
More advanced classes are available to continue working on basic skills that can lead to competition in obedience.
Conformation & Showmanship
This is a 6 week, 1 hour session that meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 7pm. This class teaches the art of
showing your dog in breed. Learn how to fill out entries, what attire is expected and how to train you and your dog for
competition in the AKC dog shows.
Puppy Socialization/Kindergarten
Puppy kindergarten is a 4 week class offered to teach puppies ages 10 weeks to 4 months basic obedience lessons,
house training and social skills. These classes are for 1 hour.
Agility
Jumps, Tunnels, Speeding over A-Frames --- This is Agility! Level One covers the basic skills to build a dogs confidence
going through obstacles and over jumps. Young dogs are taught basics at lower heights. Dogs must have basic
obedience skills. In order to move on to a different levels, you must have successfully completed the level before.
These classes are 1 hour - once weekly sessions as follows:
Level 1 Introduction - 6 wks
Level 2 - 6 wks
Rally
Rally is a fun new sport that incorporates a little Agility with relaxed Obedience. There will be different levels offered
dependent on participant request.
We also offer: AKC Sanction Matches, Breeder Referral, Canine Good Citizen Tests, Yearly Educational
Seminars, AKC All Breed Dog Show & Obedience Trials, Annual Open House and Dog Fair
